  • Venus Flytrap: The Venus  Flytrap has a trap formed by two halves of a leaf to catch insects.
  • As -soon- as an insect sits on the trap,it shuts down quickly and captures the insect.

  • The leaves of the sundew plant are covered in hairs that produce a gum-like liquid.
  • When an insect sits on the leaves,it sticks to the hair and is trapped.

  • A Cobra Lily has translucent leaves.
  • Insects are trapped inside the leaves and are eaten by the plants.

  • The pitcher plant has leaves shaped like a pitcher. 
  • When insects come to sip the nectar,they slip and fall into the pitcher and unable to get out,slowly  die out.

  • The leaves of  Butterwort have sticky hair.
  • As -soon- as insects sit on the leaves,they are stuck and slowly eaten by the plant..
